Description | Snake Lake is a challenging trail located near Gold Lake and Gold Valley OHV trail. There is one section above the lake the requires high clearance and good wheel placement or body damage is likely. Traveling up this section requires a heavily modified rig. Snake Lake is nice but there isn't much of a beach area. There are a couple of nice camping spots in the trees directly below the tough descent. The trail is very close to Little Deer Lake and Gold Valley OHV trails. When I hiked to Little Deer in mid July the trail was still blocked by snow. |
