| Description | The trail starts on Hartman Bar Ridge and drops down to Middle Fork Feather River. The trail is very steep and has tight switch backs. 4WD is required at the switch backs in order to back up to make the turn. The river valley is very nice with good fishing and large deep holes to swim in. The river bottom can be danger due to steep cliffs and slippery terrain, children should be watched closely. I have also found ticks and rattle snakes in the area. |
