Difficulty Moderate [5]. Low range gearing essential. Those with extra large vehicles will find the switchbacks challenging. Once you start on this trail it’s not easy to turn around. There are only a few spots to pull over at which makes passing difficult.
Description Stag Point is a very steep trail with switchbacks that drop deep into a canyon on the banks of the Feather River. This trail is fun for those looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy some swimming holes along the river. Stag offers 4 camping sites and plenty of shade.
