| Difficulty |
Difficult It is often refered to as the worlds most difficult trail, although a skilled driver can navigate through in a minimally modified 4wd truck. Bypass traills are offered on most of the difficult sections, but there are a few, such as Cadillac Hill, Big Sluice, Old Sluice, that must be passed through. Overall the trail can be rated at extremely difficult- body damage is almost assured. |
| Description | The trail has two entry or exit points, one near Georgetown California, referred to as Loon Lake, and the other at Lake Tahoe, most people refer to this entry as "the springs". The trail consists of large boulders, large slabs of rock, and river bed type terrain. There are several small to medium sized lakes. The trail is very scenic, but can be dangerous to the inexperienced or unprepared, always travel with other vehicles, and go prepared. |
